Drain Tile Assessments & Locating, By DrainScope Victoria.
Our Specialized Cameras & Pipe Line Location Systems.
CCTV Video Inspection Cameras are used to identify pipe damage and obstructions that inhibit proper flow or create occasional or repeated backups and helps us quickly and accurately analyze the problem.
A flexible fiber optic cable with a specially designed high-resolution video camera on its tip is inserted into the pipe. As the cable is pushed through the pipe, the operator is able to view the pipes interior on a separate monitor.
Camera Inspections, Drain Scope or Pipe Scope, are also an excellent way to detect a variety of obstructions or potential impediments to the proper flow of drainage, including roots, broken tiles, bad mortar connections, inline traps, negative grade sloping, pipe sagging, offset joints, pipe cracks and sludge buildup.
Our Camera equipment contains small transmitters. The video camera is attached to the end of a sewer cable, just like the radio transmitter. The camera is pushed down the drain or sewer line. A technician receives the closed circuit live picture and views it on a monitor as the picture records to a USB or DVD. The camera also sends a signal to the receiver held by the technician. This allows the technician to know where the camera is and how deep it is. Therefore, the camera locates the actual break so you know where to excavate.
“DRAINSCOPE / PIPESCOPE CAMERA inspections are the most efficient way to diagnose problems in your perimeter/drainage system. If you’ve ever had reoccurring drain problems we can help you figure out the reasons why. These fiber-optic cameras can fit in most drain lines from 2” to 10” diameter pipes, seeing it for yourself on a TV monitor. Tree roots, broken drain, off sets, collapses and dips in the pipe can all be detected. Along with seeing your problems we can pin point its location for repair, avoiding unnecessary destruction to your property.”
